About Dr. Matt

Dr. Matt grew up in Westmoreland county. He found chiropractic the way many of his patients do; he injured his lower back doing yard work in college. His family had great experience with several chiropractors, and Dr. Matt had the same results. Having a strong desire to help others experience the same results he had seen, Dr. Matt decided to become a chiropractor.

Dr. Matt received his Undergraduate degree in BioBehavioral Health from Penn State, where he met his future wife, Katie. Dr. Matt graduated from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2005. Quickly after graduating he earned his CCEP (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner) certification. Throughout chiropractic school, he had the opportunity to work with two successful chiropractors who became friends and mentors.

He is proud to have been serving the Mars/Seven Fields/Cranberry Township area for the past 12 years and looks forward to serving this area for as long as he is able to. Dr. Matt and Katie have two beautiful children Henry and Harrison.

Chiropractic is a Philosophy, a Science, and an Art.

Our family has been coming to Affinity Family Chiropractic for years. Dr. Matt has been a true blessing to multiple generations of our family. He has always been kind, caring, knowledgeable, and most importantly, he is great at what he does. He is not pushy or overbearing, and he understands what each of us need at every visit. If you’re looking for a chiropractor, we cannot recommend Dr. Matt enough!

Chiropractic philosophy begins with the principle that the human organism has an innate power to maintain its own health. The art of chiropractic focuses on adjustments to correct spinal malfunctions, called subluxations, in order to unlock fixations in the spinal cord and nerves that exit between the bones of the spine. Science has found that the nerve system controls all other organs and tissues of the body, so the nerve system functioning at its best facilitates the body’s ability to cope with disability and disease.

While some people think of chiropractic as strictly a form of treatment for lower back pain and headaches, chiropractors and their patients know that it is effective for much more. The chiropractic approach to health is holistic, stressing the patient’s overall well-being. It recognizes that many factors affect health, including exercise, diet, rest, environment and heredity.

Chiropractic focuses on maintaining optimal health naturally so that the body is better able to resist disease, rather than simply treating the symptoms of disease. Chiropractors use natural, drugless, non-surgical health care and rely on the body’s inherent recuperative abilities.

Chiropractic is whole-body health care with the vision to see the human body as much more than the sum of its parts. Chiropractors see their patients as more than people coming to their office with a set of symptoms. Their vision encompasses the entire individual in all of his or her unique complexity, and they work in partnership with their patients to ensure optimal health and wellness in all facets of their lives.
